Forbid Heart Hardening (May 30, 2013)
We cannot allow ourselves to become hardened by past experiences, but we must gain wisdom and understanding through them.
Cultivate (advance the growth with tender, loving care and diligence)
understanding and patience for others. There are usually things behind
people's actions that we do not see or understand and all we can do is
give it over to God and wait on Him with all patience, prayer and grace.
In that time of waiting He will show us things in ourselves that we
had not seen or understood before. We must make excellent use of
this time to seek God not only to bring peace and understanding, but to
cleanse our own hearts and minds from those ideas that do not line up
with God's.
Jud 1:20 "But you, beloved, build yourselves up
[founded] on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice
higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit;
Jud 1:21 Guard and
keep yourselves in the love of God; expect and patiently wait for the
mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah)--[which will bring you]
unto life eternal. "
